New MOTIP's Express-of-Interest
(EOI) application form
Application for MOTIP seed funding awards of up to GBP 50,000 was open between 15 May and 30 June 2023!!
This year, MOTIP makes a change by both creating an updated version of the Express of Interest (EOI) form incorporating some questions to reflect research-impact potential and offering this EOI form in a web-based format.

The new electronic user-friendly EOI application form is available here: Express of Interest | MOTIP.
This form simply asks an applicant to provide information about the following:

the project innovation/intervention
-
research methods
-
research-impact potential:
-
the population and settings on which the innovation may have impact
-
anticipated research impact of the innovation/intervention through clinical-related improvement, cost reduction, policies, or social and economic advantages
-
other project feasibility characteristics
Why using the newly developed EOI form?

Because funders and public entities are currently looking for the most plausible projects producing the most research impact.

This form is therefore developed to encourage scientists to look to the future imagining end-users or patients using their product/output and to look back thinking what they can design/develop today to create maximum benefits to those users.
Applicants are cordially invited to provide online feedback about this online EOI form through a 5-minute online survey on the last page of the submission or after the submission. Your opinion about whether this form helps to reflect potential research impact is crucial for its continued use.
